I have a KLR and a DR and decided to put on some aux. lighting so I could stay out at night like the big boys. I put some inexpensive pod lights on the DR that came with a switch, not a very good one but I used it. Then, I added lights to the KLR but those did not come with a switch, so I shopped around and bought one of these with a green lens. I was so impressed with it that when I decided to add two more lights to the DR, I just bought two more of them with a blue lens. The DR is blue and white and the KLR is green and black. I love that I can match the color of the switch lens to the color of the bike. Anyway, the SO type cord that comes attached to the switches is a good, usable length and the switch body really clamps down well on both bikes, without needing any shims . I can't say how they will hold up long term but they sure work well and look nice.Edit: So this switch did not hold up very well. I added two sets of two aux lights to my bike and I put each pair on separate switches because I couldn't find any info in the switch current rating. After using only 1 or 2 times, the light went out on one switch. After 3 or 4 uses, the other switch burned out and would no longer turn on its associated pair of lights. Very disappointing. I suspect (due to the very small size wires on the switch) that it has a very low current rating. I ordered another two switches but this time I'm going to use a lighting relay between the switch and lights. The relay is rated for 40 amps so if current was the issue, this should solve the problem.
