WOW! What a great jacket! This was a Santa surprise to me for Christmas '15 and I've got a few rides on it already in weather from 31-71 degrees F.. yeah its been one of those winters here in Delaware. I received from Santa the x-large in Gun Metal/Black.My bike.. a super fun 2015 Yamaha WR250R dual sportAt 31F with the liner in, neck guard around, zipper vents closed and a set of Slider Quest gloves on over the cuffs this jacket kept me warm and comfy on a 1 hour highway ride at about 75mph. My body didn't sweat due to the Under Armour shirt I had on under it and that's all I had on under this jacket. At temps right around 70F I left the liner in and simply opened the zippered vents, tucked the neck guard away, zipped it fully up and went out for a mixed highway, side roads and a few back road trails and remained cool and comfortable. Removing the liner I can see this being a great warm weather jacket up into the 90s or higher while riding however obviously having to open it or removing it when stopped for any period of time at those temps.I haven't been on any wet rides yet so can't comment on that at this time. As for durability it seems to be very well built with strong and secure stitching. I see no reason at this point to think it will not last. We'll see as time goes on.Fitment is true to size. I'm a short 5' 8" heavier guy at 190lbs with a 44" chest and 38 waste. I typically wear an x-large shirt, jacket, coat and this in x-large fits perfect over a light shirt with room enough for a sweater or a heated liner for subzero temps. I'd say its a tad bit long for me but again, I'm shorter then most other riders. Still, the length isn't an issue for me and doesn't bulk up at all while riding. All the zippers are great and none stick or are hard to zip up/down/open/closed. The front main pockets are waterproofed and will fit an iPhone 6 Plus in a protective case though none of the other pockets inside or out will. The left arm pocket by the cuff is ultra small and I'd wished it slightly larger however for keys it'll work. I wouldn't plan on stuffing in any documents. The zippered vents in the piping are well made and smooth. The neck collar is soft and comfortable and stands upright nicely without drooping down. There is an inside neck wrap which can be zipped in or out and comfortably wraps around the neck in cold riding. Very nice touch for certain. I rarely shave and usually just use a trimmer for my beard so more often then not there is stubble. Other jackets I've found pull at my neck beard however this one hasn't which has made me very happy. Also, in the rear of the collar is a hidden hood which can be pulled out, put over your head under the helmet for added cold weather protection as well as to keep rain out.The shoulder and elbow armor are CE rated, removable and rest where they should. The back protector would be my only concern as it seems to be really thin and not sure if it is actually CE rated or not. For street use its likely OK where most of the concern is sliding however I'll be looking to replace the back protector with something a but more since I'll be riding both street and off-road with rocks, mud, branches, etc. Overall all the protective pads comfortable and suited for their intended purpose. The inside liner zips in and out and the liner extends fully down each arm. Each sleeve cuff of the liner is held in place with 2 fasteners keeping the liner securely in place. Also, each fastener is a different color making it easy to ensure the liner doesn't get fastened in while twisted, again a nice touch.Overall I'm more then happy with the jacket which is amazingly priced for a 4-season jacket with the included features! I don't do a lot of winter riding however I don't like the cold. I'm looking at a 2500 mile trip in very early spring this year and looking forward to seeing how this jacket holds up.Like I said.. really the only thing I'd like to see would be the left cuff pocket slightly larger. Possibly even having the inside jacket pockets a bit larger. Both trivial points and doesn't take anything away from the jacket at all. A solid 5-Star rated product at this point.Additional gear I ride with include the So far it’s a great jacket. With the liner and collar it’s comfortable down to 45f at speeds up to 55mph. Add a thermal, heavy sweater and some more neck protection to your mix and it’s comfortable below 31f at 55mph( that’s as cold and as fast as I got). Liner is easy to pull out and a mild hassle to arrange, snap correctly and zip back into jacket. Without the liner and collar, with the vents open, it is comfortable at 78f (as warm as it’s gotten.) Removable collar can be a pain. Hook and loop fasteners will grab clothes and cuff patches as you put on and off. Kinda restrictive when worn. Snug fit around my small neck even when adjusted as loose as able to get. When not worn but left attached, will grab clothes and bunch uncomfortably unless arranged carefully. Definitely notice when not attached to jacket. Jacket has kept me dry even in the wettest of rains. No leaks found yet, daily worn as commuter jacket last 4 months, so seen lots of weather. Zippers and snap still in perfect order. Color is still good, got remark about brightness just last week. Pockets all are usable. Not the easiest to get into, but everything has stayed dry. Biggest detraction so far is how long it takes to dry. After a wipe down and left with a fan blowing, it will still take a few hours and arranging. I have a few mold stains from folds that never quite dried out when it rained for days straight. The cuffs do get damp on the inside and those take a while to dry thoroughly. Bags will hang up as I try to put on and leave me spinning in a circle with a caught arm. Tore strap off one bag in frustration: felt like the hulk ”puny bag”. Arm snaps and pad edges catch and hold things up.This jacket is great for cold weather. I ride 20 miles a day each way to work and weather as low as 17° with only a base layer and a long sleeve t-shirt under the jacket and I am warm from the waist up. No matter how fast I'm goingA few years ago I bought a leather jacket with armor for riding. That jacket has served me well, but unfortunately my mid-section has outgrown my jacket. I found this jacket a local shop, who was out of my size, so I hopped on my go-to source....AMAZON.The jacket is heavy, but comfortable. The first thing I did was remove the liner. I was worried that without the liner, the jacket would be too big. It is a comfortable fit with and without the liner.Since I am riding in 90+ degree weather, I opened up the vents, and went out to test it out. The vents work GREAT! When you unzip the vents, there are velcro strips that fold the flap back from over the zipper and basically creates an inlet for airflow. When you're sitting at a stop light, it gets warm, but not hot. As soon as you start rolling, it starts cooling again.I haven't tested out the weather proofing yet, but it appears that this jacket is going to be very weather proof! The main pockets opening is under the flap and zips up. So when you close the flap, it folds the opening over which will keep any water out. I don't think I have accurately explained it, but you'll see....it is a very well designed system.Overall, I am very pleased with this jacket. It is going to be very warm in the winter with my heated liner underneath it, but it is comfortable and light in the summer.I would highly recommend this jacket!Great for 3 seasons, summer not being one of them. Lots of pockets. Well made. Not recommended above 75F degrees.Ordered the same size as the one I had but it was too snug. The seller was great and replaced the jacket with a larger one
